MOV is an apronym meaning “Men of Valor” and is a community made up of Christian men and their sons. MOV was created to help fathers with their God-given charge of raising boys into bold, Godly men amid a culture plagued with timidity, weakness, and confusion.

With Christ as our focus, our goal is to encourage fathers and their sons to be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. We do this by honoring and strengthening the bond between fathers and their sons as well as their relationships with other like-minded men.

MOV uses a series of activities as a vehicle for both spiritual and physical growth. These activities are led by the fathers within the community who have an interest or skill set and will last a few weeks. Fathers and sons will participate in these activities together along with the community. Gatherings will be held as Summits and Skills. A key distinctive is the direct engagement of the fathers leveraging their life experiences and coupling this hands-on approach with a strong focus on spiritual development for all.

The Summit gathering is a monthly all-hands meeting. It features a faith-based devotional meant to edify and strengthen men of all ages. Guest speakers and community fathers will lead discussions. A key purpose of the Summit will be to discuss and present the next Skills that will launch in the upcoming month.

The Skills are activities focused on specific life and outdoor skills. Some programs may be several weeks long while others may only be for a couple of sessions. The details for each will be introduced during the Summits and there will be ample question/answer discussions to ensure each participant is aware of what the concentrations will require and teach. Skills will vary widely as one of the primary purposes of these activities, beyond learning the skill itself, is the spiritual growth that happens in the process of trying something new.
